Obtain estimated marginal means (EMMs) for many linear, generalized linear, and mixed models. Compute contrasts or linear functions of EMMs, trends, and comparisons of slopes. Plots and other displays. Least-squares means are discussed, and the term "estimated marginal means" is suggested, in Searle, Speed, and Milliken (1980) Population marginal means in the linear model: An alternative to least squares means, The American Statistician 34(4), 216-221 doi:10.1080/00031305.1980.10483031.

bug-fix for labelling in pairwise contrasts
head() and tail() for emmGrid objects now follow base-R semantics for a negative n (previously the two were effectively swapped)
Fixed an error in the atanh response transformation: a typo in its mu.eta derivative (tanh^2(eta)) made type = "response" fail
cross.adjust is now correctly ignored (as documented) when the by groups are not all the same size, rather than silently producing mis-shaped (recycled) adjusted P values
emmip(..., engine = "lattice") now uses the axis/trace labels again (a typo referenced the wrong object, so the labels were silently dropped)

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.
