AI coding agents

• use_tidy_agents() is an experimental helper to set up an R package to work with AI coding agents in the same way as the tidyverse team (#2195, #2239).
• learn_tidy_skill() is an experimental new function that prints instructions for performing a specialized R package development task (like deprecating a function) the way the tidyverse team does. It's primarily designed to be called by AI coding agents, as directed by the AGENTS.md created by use_tidy_agents().

Git and GitHub

• create_from_github() now installs package dependencies by default, so you're set up to immediately start working on the package. Use install_dependencies = FALSE to suppress (#2186).
• pr_init() and other functions that check for uncommitted changes now offer to stash and re-apply the changes or to retry, in addition to the existing options to proceed or cancel (#1300).
• pr_merge_main() and other functions that report merge conflicts no longer offer to open the conflicted files in Positron (#2157).
• pr_pull(), pr_push(), and friends now give more informative errors if usethis can't retrieve details about a remote (#1929, #2229).
• pr_resume() (without a specific branch) and pr_fetch() (without a specific number) no longer error when a branch name contains curly braces (#2107, @jonthegeek).
• use_git() now works in a directory that is not yet recognized as a usethis project: it assumes you want to initialise a Git repository in the current working directory (#2242).

Documentation

• use_readme_qmd() creates a starter README.qmd with Quarto-flavored YAML frontmatter, analogous to use_readme_rmd() (#1671). Thanks @VisruthSK for getting the ball rolling.
