This holds r markdown and quarto templates for academic papers and slide decks. It also has templates to create research projects which contain academic papers as vignettes.

Changes in 2.3.0

Enhancements

The template argument for write_slides() now uses "rmed" instead of "rmed2025". The old value still works but is no longer documented. Year references removed from RMed templates and files.

Minor improvements

Removed references to 2025 from RMed templates & files.

Fixes

Breaking changes to {purrr} in version 1.2.0 required internal changes to write_slides(). Uses walk() instead of map_chr() to download "rmed" slide art & files. See https://purrr.tidyverse.org/news/index.html#breaking-changes-1-2-0 for more information.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
