A general framework for finite mixtures of regression models using the EM algorithm is implemented. The E-step and all data handling are provided, while the M-step can be supplied by the user to easily define new models. Existing drivers implement mixtures of standard linear models, generalized linear models and model-based clustering.

Example code of ExLinear changed to avoid warning.
Example code of boot and FLXMRglmfix changed to use donttest instead of dontrun.
Ensure that FLXMRmgcv gets the family function from package stats. Thanks to Jürgen Claesen for pointing the issue out.
Package lattice is not depended on, but only imported.
Modified examples and vignettes to run through smoothly even if checked with _R_CHECK_DEPENDS_ONLY_=true.
Changed URLs to use https instead of http.
Changed documentation to avoid having exported functions without usage information.
A superfluous but incorrect argument specification for xlev in the internal function modelMatrix() dropped. Thanks to Maximilian Scholz for pointing the issue out.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
