Contains various routines for drawing ellipses and ellipse-like confidence regions, implementing the plots described in Murdoch and Chow (1996, doi:10.2307/2684435). There are also routines implementing the profile plots described in Bates and Watts (1988, doi:10.1002/9780470316757).

The pairs() generic and pairs.profile() method have both

been deprecated, and replaced with the pairs_profile() function.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
