Get sun position, sunlight phases (times for sunrise, sunset, dusk, etc.), moon position and lunar phase for the given location and time. Most calculations are based on the formulas given in Astronomy Answers articles about position of the sun and the planets : https://www.aa.quae.nl/en/reken/zonpositie.html.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from datastorm-open/suncalc. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-suncalc

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
