Successive Halving (Jamieson and Talwalkar (2016) doi:10.48550/arXiv.1502.07943) and Hyperband (Li et al. 2018 doi:10.48550/arXiv.1603.06560) optimization algorithm for the mlr3 ecosystem. The implementation in mlr3hyperband features improved scheduling and parallelizes the evaluation of configurations. The package includes tuners for hyperparameter optimization in mlr3tuning and optimizers for black-box optimization in bbotk.

refactor: Minimum required version of rush is now 1.0.0. Removed all compatibility workarounds for older versions.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
