Interface to the 'UNU.RAN' library for Universal Non-Uniform RANdom variate generators. Thus it allows to build non-uniform random number generators from quite arbitrary distributions. In particular, it provides an algorithm for fast numerical inversion for distribution with given density function. In addition, the package contains densities, distribution functions and quantiles from a couple of distributions.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from unuran/Runuran. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-Runuran

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
