Nested Dichotomy Logistic Regression Models
Overview
Provides functions for specifying and fitting nested dichotomy logistic regression models for a multi-category response and methods for summarising and plotting those models. Nested dichotomies are statistically independent, and hence provide an additive decomposition of tests for the overall 'polytomous' response. When the dichotomies make sense substantively, this method can be a simpler alternative to the standard 'multinomial' logistic model which compares response categories to a reference level. See: J. Fox (2016), "Applied Regression Analysis and Generalized Linear Models", 3rd Ed., ISBN 1452205663.
- added an
equatiomatic::extract_eq()method for "nestedLogit" objects - added a vignette ("latex-equations") illustrating use of LaTeX equations in Rmarkdown / Quarto documents for these models and various options available.
- fixed subtle LaTeX bug in
extract_eq()when dichotomy names contain "_" - added a
submodel=arg to avoid$submodelindexing - Fixed DOIs in RSQ.R now that CRAN is pickier about their format
- Fixed documentation nits from Roxygen 8.0.0

Dependencies
Installing nestedLogit adds 66 packages (33 with compiled code, 62 MB of source tarballs). Heaviest: stringi 11 MB, ggplot2 6.0 MB, doBy 4.3 MB.
CRAN will archive these unless their check problems are fixed by the date shown. This package needs each one to install.
