An integrated suite of tools for creating, maintaining, and reusing FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) theories. Designed to support transparent and collaborative theory development, the package enables users to formalize theories, track changes with version control, assess pre-empirical coherence, and derive testable hypotheses. Aligning with open science principles and workflows, 'theorytools' facilitates the systematic improvement of theoretical frameworks and enhances their discoverability and usability.

Add download_huggingface() to download models from huggingface
Add get_embeddings() to get vector embeddings using huggingface model
Add code() to code qualitative text entries with support of cosine similarity or string distance
Add add_level() for recursive coding of qualitative text entries
Add similarity_stringdist() to calculate similarity between character vectors based on string distance
Add similarity_cosine() to calculate cosine similarity between vector embeddings, see get_embeddings()

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
