Articles in the 'R Journal' were first authored in 'LaTeX', which performs admirably for 'PDF' files but is less than ideal for modern online interfaces. The 'texor' package does all the transitional chores and conversions necessary to move to the online versions.

1. Fixed bugs around table numbering.

2. Used direct imports from stringr instead of wrapper functions.

3. Improvements to stream editor, dumping for loop for vectorized gsub.

4. Updated default Rmd header configuration (#102).

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
