Read and write 'Bibtex' files. Convert between bibliography formats, including 'Bibtex', 'Biblatex', 'PubMed', 'Endnote', and 'Bibentry'. Includes a port of the 'bibutils' utilities by Chris Putnam https://sourceforge.net/projects/bibutils/. Supports all bibliography formats and character encodings implemented in 'bibutils'.

Changes in 2.4.1

EDIT BEFORE RELEASE!

now '\slash' is handled by toRd.bibentryExtra (previously was in Rdpack).
don't interpret '\slash' if the leading slash is escaped.
export bibstyle_JSSextra - not exported in v2.4.
modified the bibentryExtra method for toRd to process \slash.
improved handling of latex accents and Unicode combining characters.
removed the deprecated register_JSSextra.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
