Methods to easily extract and manipulate climate reconstructions for ecological and anthropological analyses, as described in Leonardi et al. (2023) doi:10.1111/ecog.06481. The package includes datasets of palaeoclimate reconstructions, present observations, and future projections from multiple climate models.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from EvolEcolGroup/pastclim. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-pastclim

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
