Analysis and visualisation of synchrony, interaction, and joint movements from audio and video movement data of a group of music performers. The demo is data described in Clayton, Leante, and Tarsitani (2021) doi:10.17605/OSF.IO/KS325, while example analyses can be found in Clayton, Jakubowski, and Eerola (2019) doi:10.1177/1029864919844809. Additionally, wavelet analysis techniques have been applied to examine movement-related musical interactions, as shown in Eerola et al. (2018) doi:10.1098/rsos.171520.

Install

R (CRAN)Ubuntu (r2u)Fedora (COPR)openSUSE (OBS)

install.packages("movementsync", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-movementsync

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
