Extends the 'mlr3' package and ecosystem to time series forecasting. Provides forecasting tasks, learners, resampling strategies, performance measures, and 'mlr3pipelines' operators for time-series feature engineering. Machine learning regression learners can be turned into forecasters through recursive and direct multi-step strategies.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from mlr-org/mlr3forecast. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-mlr3forecast

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
