Provides tools for searching, extracting and recoding the Intergovernmental Organizations ('IGO') Database (version 3), distributed by the Correlates of War Project https://correlatesofwar.org/. Includes 'IGO-year' and country-year membership data, state system data and functions for deriving 'dyad-year' joint membership results. For a description of the data, see Pevehouse, J. C. et al. (2020) doi:10.1177/0022343319881175.

Changes in 1.1.0

The minimum required **R** version is now 4.1.0.
igoR::states2024 replaces states2016 with State System Membership data through December 2024.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
