An interactive git user interface from the R command line. Intuitive tools to make commits, branches, remotes, and diffs an integrated part of R coding. Built on git2r, a system installation of git is not required and has default on-premises remote option.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from johnxhobbs/git4r. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-git4r

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
