Package designed to be used with Rscript to write '#!' shebang scripts that accept short and long flags/options. Many users will prefer using instead the packages optparse or argparse which add extra features like automatically generated help option and usage, support for default values, positional argument support, etc.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from trevorld/r-getopt. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-getopt

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
