An R client for the 'Federal Reserve Economic Data' ('FRED') API https://research.stlouisfed.org/docs/api/. Functions to retrieve economic time series and other data from 'FRED'.

Changes in 2.1.0

fredr() / fredr_series_observations() now always return realtime_start and realtime_end columns. These are useful when setting the realtime_start / realtime_end arguments, or when using the vintage_dates argument (#88).
Fixed a bug in fredr() / fredr_series_observations() so that now the vintage_dates argument properly accepts a Date vector of length 1 or greater (#89).

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
