Predictors can be converted to one or more numeric representations using a variety of methods. Effect encodings using simple generalized linear models doi:10.48550/arXiv.1611.09477 or nonlinear models doi:10.48550/arXiv.1604.06737 can be used. There are also functions for dimension reduction and other approaches.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from tidymodels/embed. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-embed

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
