Work with the Ecological Community Data Design Pattern. 'ecocomDP' is a flexible data model for harmonizing ecological community surveys, in a research question agnostic format, from source data published across repositories, and with methods that keep the derived data up-to-date as the underlying sources change. Described in O'Brien et al. (2021), doi:10.1016/j.ecoinf.2021.101374.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from EDIorg/ecocomDP. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-ecocomDP

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
