-update DESCRIPTION to mention "macOS" instead of "OSX"

-minor refactoring of font metric code involving Adobe font metric

(afm) files. AFM files included under inst/afm previously, in

violation of AFM spec, used hexadecimal code points in a place that

should have been decimal; these files have been updated to use

decimal and the loading code changed correspondingly. Further, the

AFM loading code has been made flexible to allow loading any afm

files found in that directory rather than a hard-coded list (file

names for any additional files need formatted analogously to the

existing inst/afm files). When both fontconfig and zlib are

installed, if fontconfig offers a substitution instead of the

requested font family, then the AFM files will be checked for an

exact match. If an exact AFM is available, then it will be used

instead of the fontconfig substitution. Thanks to Bill Huang for

identifying the hex/dec issue and suggesting that afm should be

attempted before font substitution.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.
