R interface for the Google Cloud Services 'Document AI API' https://cloud.google.com/document-ai with additional tools for output file parsing and text reconstruction. 'Document AI' is a powerful server-based OCR service that extracts text and tables from images and PDF files with high accuracy. 'daiR' gives R users programmatic access to this service and additional tools to handle and visualize the output. See the package website https://dair.info/ for more information and examples.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from Hegghammer/daiR. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-daiR

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
