Import data written in the JCAMP-DX format. This is an instrument-independent format used in the field of spectroscopy. Examples include IR, NMR, and Raman spectroscopy. See the vignette for background and supported formats. The official JCAMP-DX site is http://www.jcamp-dx.org/.

Behind the Scenes

Fixed a problem due to deprecation of the LaTeX package usenames which is no longer used by the LaTeX package xcolor, used in the vignettes. Notified by B. Ripley/CRAN.
Updated and repaired some URLs in bibliography.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
