Provides simplified access to the data from the Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of the Brazilian Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES, https://catalogodeteses.capes.gov.br) for the years 1987 through 2024. The dataset includes variables such as Higher Education Institution (institution), Area of Concentration (area), Graduate Program Name (program_name), Type of Work (type), Language of Work (language), Author Identification (author), Abstract (abstract), Advisor Identification (advisor), Development Region (region), State (state).

Changes in 0.2.1

search_capes_text() accepts several terms and several fields (#5, hugoavmedeiros/capesR). A row is kept when any of the terms occurs in any of the fields, e.g. search_capes_text(data, c("varicela", "catapora"), c("titulo", "resumo")); the new match = "all" argument requires every term instead. Previously a vector in term raised an error.
read_capes_data() text filters (titulo, resumo) also accept a vector of terms, matching rows that contain any of them.
When nothing matches, search_capes_text() returns an empty data.frame with the same columns as the input (previously a data.frame with no columns).
Added unit tests (testthat).
Repository moved to <https://github.com/StrategicProjects/capesR>, which now also holds the history of the original hugoavmedeiros/capesR repository.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
