This tool enables in-database scoring of 'XGBoost' models built in R, by translating trained model objects into SQL query. 'XGBoost' https://github.com/dmlc/xgboost provides parallel tree boosting (also known as gradient boosting machine, or GBM) algorithms in a highly efficient, flexible and portable way. GBM algorithm is introduced by Friedman (2001) doi:10.1214/aos/1013203451, and more details on 'XGBoost' can be found in Chen & Guestrin (2016) doi:10.1145/2939672.2939785.

Changes in 0.1.3

Fix issue for onehot2sql() processing data.frame with only one categorical feature.
Stop onehot2sql() and add stop message when there is no categorical feature in the input data.
Fix example, vignette, and README following breaking changes on package xgboost.
When missing input_table_name for onehot2sql(), the query will be printed to console.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
