'R' implementation of the 'vol2bird' software for generating vertical profiles of birds and other biological signals in weather radar data. See Dokter et al. (2011) doi:10.1098/rsif.2010.0116 for a paper describing the methodology.

Changes in 1.3.2

No changes for users, fixes compiler error and warnings requested by CRAN (#165).
Provides fixes for building with HDF5 2.x. Keep using HDF5 1.12 API for HDF5>=2 versions (#162).

configure now reports the HDF5 flags it detected and warns when the HDF5 library

cannot be linked.

vol2birdR now uses 'LibTorch' 2.14.0 by default for mistnet runs, up from 1.12.1. This fixes

a failure to load 'MistNet' on recent Linux distributions such as Fedora 44. On Intel macOS the

default is upgraded to 'LibTorch' 2.1.2, the most recent release for which 'PyTorch'

publishes an x86_64 macOS build (#158).

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
