A toolkit for all URL-handling needs, including encoding and decoding, parsing, parameter extraction and modification. All functions are designed to be both fast and entirely vectorised. It is intended to be useful for people dealing with web-related datasets, such as server-side logs, although may be useful for other situations involving large sets of URLs.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from Ironholds/urltools. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-urltools

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
