Provides functions to access historical and real-time national 'hydrometric' data from Water Survey of Canada data sources and then applies tidy data principles.

fixed a bug in available_flows() and available_levels() where a station with complete final coverage suppressed provisional data for every other station in the request; provisional coverage is now determined per station
wrapped literal CSV strings passed to readr::read_csv() in I() in the datamart realtime functions, silencing the readr 2.2.0 deprecation warning
realtime_ws() now accepts bare YYYY-MM-DD character strings for start_date and end_date, consistent with the hy_* functions, rather than requiring a Date object or a full datetime string (#242)

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
