Census and administrative data in South Korea are a basic source of quantitative and mixed-methods research for social and urban scientists. This package provides a 'sf' (Pebesma et al., 2024 doi:10.32614/CRAN.package.sf) based standardized workflow based on direct open API access to the major census and administrative data sources and pre-generated files in South Korea.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from sigmafelix/tidycensuskr. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
