Defines a graphics device and functions for graphical output in terminal emulators that support graphical output. Currently terminals that support the Terminal Graphics Protocol (https://sw.kovidgoyal.net/kitty/graphics-protocol/) and terminal supporting Sixel (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sixel) are supported.

Changes in 0.3.0

New Features

When the size of the terminal changes new plots (e.g. when calling implicitly or explicitly new.plot) will rescale to follow the size of the new terminal. This happens only when the width and height of the plot were *not* explicitly set. Note that after resizing the terminal updates to a new plot will not resize the plot.

Bug fixes

Support for Terminal Graphics Protocol and Sixel was not properly detected in Vim and NVim terminals. In NVim this even caused the terminal to hang. Code now checks if it is running in such a terminal. Graphics output is not supported in these terminals, but at least now this is detected properly.
Sixel support is now detected when running in tmux for terminals that support sixel.

term_palette() no longer gives an error and returns the default palette, when run in kitty with remote control disabled.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
