Provides symmetric matrix and tensor operations and decomposition algorithms including symmetric NMF (symNMF), PageRank, Label Propagation, Higher-order Power Method, and TOPHITS. Designed to work with 'rTensor' objects. Methods are described in Kuang et al. (2012) doi:10.1137/1.9781611972825.10, Kolda and Mayo (2011) doi:10.1137/100801482, and Kolda and Bader (2006) doi:10.1137/1.9781611972764.26.

Install

install.packages("symTensor", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-symTensor

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
