These are miscellaneous functions that I find useful for my research and teaching. The contents include themes for plots, functions for simulating quantities of interest from regression models, functions for simulating various forms of fake data for instructional/research purposes, and many more. All told, the functions provided here are broadly useful for data organization, data presentation, data recoding, and data simulation.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from svmiller/stevemisc. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-stevemisc

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
