Soil health assessment builds information to improve decision in soil management. It facilitates assessment of soil conditions for crop suitability [such as those given by FAO https://www.fao.org/land-water/databases-and-software/crop-information/en/], groundwater recharge, fertility, erosion, salinization [doi:10.1002/ldr.4211], carbon sequestration, irrigation potential, and status of soil resources.

Install

install.packages("soilassessment", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-soilassessment

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
