Run 'SQL' queries across 'Snowflake', 'Amazon Redshift', 'PostgreSQL', 'SQLite', and 'DuckDB' from R with a single function. Optionally stream and cache large query results to a local 'DuckDB' database for efficient work with larger-than-memory datasets.

DuckDB local caching: stream Snowflake / Postgres / Redshift query results into analytics.duckdb via cache_table_name.
Snowflake connector auto-install + version enforcement (min 2.7.4) with resilient import logic.
Batch streaming for Snowflake when fetch_pandas_batches() available, fallback to full fetch otherwise.
Unified row count completion messages for all caching paths.
Added SQLite examples & clarified credential YAML schema (including DuckDB + SQLite entries).
Refactored internal connection helper; simplified error messaging.
Documentation overhaul (README) to cover caching workflow, limitations & credential schema.
Expanded package Title and Description to reflect multi-database + DuckDB caching functionality.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
