Researchers have been using simulated data from a multivariate linear model to compare and evaluate different methods, ideas and models. Additionally, teachers and educators have been using a simulation tool to demonstrate and teach various statistical and machine learning concepts. This package helps users to simulate linear model data with a wide range of properties by tuning few parameters such as relevant latent components. In addition, a shiny app as an 'RStudio' gadget gives users a simple interface for using the simulation function. See more on: Sæbø, S., Almøy, T., Helland, I.S. Install

R (CRAN)pak (dev)Ubuntu (r2u)Fedora (COPR)openSUSE (OBS)

install.packages("simrel")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

pak::pak("simulatr/simrel")

Development version from simulatr/simrel. Requires the pak package.

Release

# one-time r2u setup for Ubuntu (noble)

curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/eddelbuettel/r2u/master/inst/scripts/add_cranapt_noble.sh | sudo bash

# then install

sudo apt install r-cran-simrel

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). Run the setup once per machine.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf copr enable iucar/cran

sudo dnf install R-CRAN-simrel

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

sudo zypper install R-simrel

RPMs auto-built from CRAN on openSUSE OBS.
