A dynamic timer control (DTC) is a 'shiny' widget that enables time-based processes in applications. It allows users to execute these processes manually in individual steps or at customizable speeds. The timer can be paused, resumed, or restarted. This control is particularly well-suited for simulations, animations, countdowns, or interactive visualizations.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from sigbertklinke/shinyDTC. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-shinyDTC

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
