A general-purpose implementation of synthetic control methods that accounts for potential spillover effects between units. Based on the methodology of Cao and Dowd (2019).

Changes in 0.1.2

Removed the dependency on **limSolve** (scheduled for CRAN archival). The constrained least-squares solve in scm() is now implemented with quadprog::solve.QP(). The optimization problem (weights summing to one and non-negative) and the resulting estimates are unchanged; the previously unused lambda argument now serves as a ridge term for numerical stability.
Added package-level, dataset, and S3-method documentation, plus runnable examples.
Moved the raw cigs.xls data file to inst/extdata/ and dropped a stray workspace file from data/.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
