Provides a generic implementation of the 'RStudio' connection contract to make it easier for database connections, and other type of connections, opened via R packages integrate with the connections pane inside the 'RStudio' interactive development environment (IDE).

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from rstudio/rscontract. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-rscontract

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
