Empirical best linear unbiased prediction (EBLUP) and robust prediction of the area-level means under the basic unit-level model. The model can be fitted by maximum likelihood or a (robust) M-estimator. Mean square prediction error is computed by a parametric bootstrap.

CHANGES

Change of License: Starting with version 0.3, the rsae package is distributed under the GPLv3 license (before it was released under the BSD-3-Clause license).
For root finding, we now use the Fortran 90 routine zero_rc of John Burkardt (license: Lesser GPL).

FIXES

Fixed Fortran compiler warnings and issues in the code
Updated and added examples in the help documentation
Fixed colnames of the return value of as.matrix.saemodel() and other (minor) issues in the R code.

NEW FEATURES

Added the utility functions head(), tail(), and as.matrix() to work with the predicted values (and the mean square prediction error).
Added data.frame landsat_means which contains the county-specific means of, respectively, pixels of the segments under corn and soybeans (LANDSAT readings).

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.
