Robustness -- 'eXperimental', 'eXtraneous', or 'eXtraordinary' Functionality for Robust Statistics. Hence methods which are not well established, often related to methods in package 'robustbase'. Amazingly, 'BACON()', originally by Billor, Hadi, and Velleman (2000) doi:10.1016/S0167-9473(99)00101-2 has become established in places. The "barrow wheel" `rbwheel()` is from Stahel and Mächler (2009) doi:10.1111/j.1467-9868.2009.00706.x.

Install

R (CRAN)Ubuntu (r2u)Fedora (COPR)openSUSE (OBS)

install.packages("robustX", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-robustX

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
