Computes word, character, and non-whitespace character counts in R Markdown documents and Jupyter notebooks, with or without code chunks. Returns results as a data frame.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from sigbertklinke/rmdwc. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-rmdwc

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
