Provides tools to search, access, and format taxonomic information from 'The Reptile Database' (https://reptile-database.org) directly within 'R'. Users can retrieve species-level data, distribution, etymology, synonyms, common names, and other relevant information for reptiles. Designed for taxonomists, ecologists, and biodiversity researchers.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from PaulESantos/reptiledbr. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
