A programmatic client for the eBird database (https://ebird.org/home), including functions for searching for bird observations by geographic location (latitude, longitude), eBird hotspots, location identifiers, by notable sightings, by region, and by taxonomic name.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from ropensci/rebird. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-rebird

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
