A simple interface for interacting with ProPublica's 'Congress' API, which provides data about current and former members of both chambers of the U.S. Congress and can be found at the following URL: https://projects.propublica.org/api-docs/congress-api/.

This package is no longer on CRAN, so install.packages() cannot fetch it by name. This downloads the last archived source (0.0.2) and builds it locally. Install its dependencies first, and note that building from source needs the usual compiler toolchain.
