Applies cartographic projections to spatial data frames containing geographic coordinates. Projection methods are based on the 'D3.js' ecosystem doi:10.1109/TVCG.2011.185 and use spherical geometry rather than ellipsoidal geodesic models.

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from riatelab/planisphere. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-planisphere

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
