Tools for exchanging pedigree data between the 'pedsuite' packages and the 'Familias' software for forensic kinship computations (Egeland et al. (2000) doi:10.1016/s0379-0738(00)00147-x). These functions were split out from the 'forrel' package to streamline maintenance and provide a lightweight alternative for packages otherwise independent of 'forrel'.

Changes in 0.2.6

readFam() gains argument convert, allowing the parsed Familias data to be returned without conversion to pedsuite objects.
readFam() now explicitly rejects files made with the 'Familial searching' module.
writeFam() now harmonises marker data across pedigree components before writing the file.
writeFam() detects and stops with an error if the data contains unnamed markers.
Fixed a bug causing URLs to be rejected when verbose = FALSE.
Fixed parsing of parameters written in scientific notation.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.
