Cluster analysis via nonparametric density estimation is performed. Operationally, the kernel method is used throughout to estimate the density. Diagnostics methods for evaluating the quality of the clustering are available. The package includes also a routine to estimate the probability density function obtained by the kernel method, given a set of data with arbitrary dimensions.

Install

install.packages("pdfCluster", repos = "https://cloud.r-project.org/")

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Release

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

ls /etc/yum.repos.d/*iucar*cran*.repo >/dev/null 2>&1 \
  || sudo dnf copr enable -y iucar/cran
sudo dnf install -y R-CRAN-pdfCluster

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.

For install.packages() integration in R, also: sudo dnf install R-CoprManager
