Miscellaneous utilities for parallelizing large computations. Alternative to MapReduce. File splitting and distributed operations such as sort and aggregate. "Software Alchemy" method for parallelizing most statistical methods, presented in N. Matloff, Parallel Computation for Data Science, Chapman and Hall, 2015. Includes a debugging aid.

Install

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Development version from matloff/partools. Installs pak first if it is not already available.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make

RPMs from the iucar/cran COPR, rebuilt from CRAN.
