A framework for organizing R projects with a standardized structure. Most analyses consist of three main components: code, results, and data, each with different requirements such as version control, sharing, and encryption. This package provides tools to set up and manage project directories, handle file paths consistently across operating systems, organize results using date-based structures, source code from specified directories, and perform file operations safely. It ensures consistency across projects while accommodating different requirements for various types of content.

Added install_missing_packages argument to initialize_project(). Scans folders_to_be_sourced for library(), require(), and pkg:: usage. Errors on missing packages by default; set install_missing_packages = TRUE to auto-install via pak (falls back to install.packages()).
Removed package_installed().
Removed create_project_quarto_internal_results() and create_project_quarto_external_results().

Installs the current CRAN release. Prebuilt binaries on Windows and macOS.

Fast Ubuntu binaries via r2u (no compilation). The cranapt setup runs once and is skipped when it is already enabled. We list this channel from recorded r2u download activity rather than from a live index of the repository, so treat it as last known rather than guaranteed.

bspm (used by r2u) also needs make: sudo apt install make
